We are governed by the Department for Education and therefore follow guidance from the School Admission Code. A copy of the code can be found here.

Should you require a paper copy of the application form, please contact Mrs. Shorrock directly at 01254 355521. Completed forms may also be returned by post to the address located at the bottom of this page.
We aim to notify you of the outcome of your application in writing within 10 school days. Please note that the maximum statutory response time is 15 school days.
In Year Appeals
If your child is refused a place at one of our schools via the in-year process, please be aware that you have the right to appeal this decision. To formally lodge an appeal, please state your grounds in writing by completing the local authority official appeal form.
Lancashire County Council administers our appeals and arranges for an independent, three-person panel to review your case. They will send you a direct invitation to attend the hearing and present your grounds for appeal.
For more information on the appeal process, please contact Mrs Shorrock (number at the bottom of the page), or email admissions@let-edu.org or appeals@lancashire.gov.uk.
For further advice about appeals please click here.

Waiting List
If you have been refused a place and regardless of the outcome of your appeal you can still request to be put onto the waiting list for a school within our Trust.
The waiting list is maintained in the order of the oversubscription criteria only (not application date). This means that names can move down the list if, e.g., a new applicant qualifies in a higher placed category under the oversubscription criteria. If a place becomes available it will be allocated to the first child on the waiting list, in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. If that offer is declined the place will be offered to the next child on the waiting list.
Parent/carer(s) have the right to request their child is removed from the waiting list at any time. Once removed, the child cannot be reinstated on the waiting list without submitting a new application.
If you wish to join or be taken off the waiting list, kindly email your request to:
