LET Education Trust have partnered with Embrace SCITT and other providers to deliver teacher training across Lancashire, Blackpool and Wigan. Our schools will provide training placements for both primary and secondary trainees and we will be part of the strategic leadership of Embrace SCITT. What can we offer our partnership schools?

We work in partnership with Primary, Secondary and Special Schools across the North-West to deliver an exceptional teacher training programme which meets the needs of our diverse communities. We work with local, regional and national experts to deliver our programme. Our teachers do exceptionally well and many go on to employment within our extended partnership. Our Mentoring curriculum is designed to develop your team to upskill them to support teacher development across your school. We work hand-in-hand with Embrace Teaching School Hub to provide the full suite of golden thread teacher development programmes from Teacher Training to Executive Leadership. Our Teachers can train as Embrace Teachers all the way through to Embrace Leaders. There are no costs to host a Trainee Teacher – we pay you!

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of the teacher training curriculum so it’s right for your school.
  • A pipeline of teachers ready to step in to your roles.
  • Expert mentoring support and training.
  • Access free centre-based training for your teams.
  • Support for ECTs as needed.

Arrangements for mentoring

Our Mentoring Training has been written collaboratively with a number of other North-West Teacher Training providers to identify 12-hours of instruction which is accepted across the consortium. This limits the workload of mentors and schools so they do not have to retrain with every provider. Our flexible approach to the remaining 8-hours means that our Mentors are well supported to develop without adding to their workload.
We have worked hard to define the statutory requirement of 90 minutes per week of Mentoring time to ensure that all of the incidental coaching and mentoring activities that typically happen are accommodated for to manage Mentor and Trainee workload.
